I've had the privilege of being able to visit southern California a couple times a year while touring. I, like most people who are from other parts of the country, always found myself wondering if this place was real. The weather, the scenery etc etc. Now that I'm no longer on the road most of the year, I still make an effort to visit as much as possible.
My last trip was planned around the annual Tommy and The High Pilots Christmas show in Santa Barbara. I've known Tommy and the band for 4 or 5 years and have always been a huge fan. I highly recommend American Riviera.
An added treat was the fact that they were playing a couple songs during their set with the one and only Kenny Loggins. Kenny was a super nice guy but slightly less hairy than I anticipated.
